About me
My name is Lara, and I am a primary school teacher in Zagreb and Montessori pedagogue for children from 3 to 12 years old.
Everything you see here was created for the students in my class and all the materials have proven to be successful for learning, practicing, revising and motivating children to read, write and research.
I opened this website and Instagram profile in order
to share with you as many ideas, materials, principles and ways of working as possible, and to spark your love for Montessori pedagogy.
Materials and sale
Not long after I started sharing ideas, many of you contacted me with an interest in the educational cards. That was the moment when I decided that I would put some of the cards on sale to help implement the elements of Montessori pedagogy as easily as possible for all parents, teachers and educators, as well as for the children who will work with them.
That's why I put a lot of attention and thought into each material (when choosing images, text, paper, boxes, activities...) to make sure that children will be able to work with quality cards and boxes for years.
Education
My Montessori journey began during my studies at the Faculty of Techer Education in Zagreb, when I was attracted to Montessori materials for work and study.
I enrolled in a course where I gained more information about Montessori pedagogy and in 2019 I graduated with the thesis Use of Montessori materials in elementary school.
Montessori education
I realized that all this is not enough for me if I want to include parts of Montessori pedagogy in a traditional class. That's why I decided to enroll in a two-year Montessori education at the Institute for Montessori Pedagogy in Zagreb.
That was the period when I truly understood that Montessori pedagogy is not only about aesthetically appealing materials, but a different approach to children that allows them to develop freely in a stimulating environment while respecting their needs.
Further improvements
After completing my two-year Montessori education, my professional development did not end. That's why I regularly attend various workshops in Croatian and English, which inspire me to continue creating a plethora of new materials and ideas.
Next steps
I always plan to create new materials for my students and all of you who show an interest in Montessori pedagogy. Over the coming months, you will also be able to learn more about the values and principles of Montessori pedagogy on this website, on my social media profiles, and in future workshops.
